Lozère, a shared land, a land of sharing ! |

|
Divided between the North and South, and even between the East and West, Lozère was nicknamed "the region of sources" and has plentifully justified its existence in the Massif Central , the water tower of France . It is in Lozere that the basins of the three big rivers Loire , Rhone & Garonne are divided.
But it is because of the Mont Lozère that the region became well-known.
It's particularly special for its mountains: Lozere is a mountain department, with medium & small sized mountains, but mountains nevertheless. It is the Lozere's mountains that have the highest average altitude in France
In any case, Lozere is part of the Massif Central. |
